I was clearing out a memory card I hadn't used in ages, and on there I found a photo that about blew my socks off. I had forgotten that right at the end of shooting the (I would bet) once in a lifetime lightning storm we had last year, I had switched out cards. That last card never had its images pulled off. So I pulled the images down, and at first it was quite a bit of disappointment, and then I came upon this one.
I really don't remember shooting it, and don't even remember why I had switched cards, but dear god I am glad I went through this card before just formatting it xD
This photo took a bit more editing than the first lightning photo I submitted last year did, its levels were a bit off, and unlike the first one, it captured the people across the streets mars signaling light they have out front, as well as the lightning. Some clever cropping and levels, and we have a nice pure image once again. And for those who didn't see the first, the purple color is the natural color my camera picked up. I didn't use some kind of purple filter or change the colors of the photo to get that look. I did up the saturation a bit to emphasize it a bit, but that was it.
