Splash Of The Sun

They seemed to have quite a few beautiful sets of daisies, but this one is my favorite of the bunch. I loved the way the plant was laid out, and this nice big nearly perfect one staring at me in the face was something I couldn't help but snap a photo of.

As you might be able to tell by the image quality alone, I switched over to my 50mm f/1.8 for this photo. The far better bokeh and sharpness really lent itself well to the flowers. The focal length isn't ideal as it requires getting much closer than with a tele, but the quality benefits outweigh the issues. Plus with my cameras tilty touch screen, I can live view my way to perfection without having to bend as much. I edited this the same way as I had been a few portraits recently, desaturation everything save for the one color I wanted to come through. I then added split toning to the image, to up the yellow in the highlights, and add in the purple color to the shadows.
