Fall Where They May - 5

It seems like I keep coming up with ways to photograph playing cards, and I know that its not going to please the masses, but art is what we make of it, and reflects who we are. So with that, we have another series of playing card photos. All 5 of these were shot right back to back pretty much, and all feature the same deck; The Emerald Artifice deck by Ellusionist. This deck has become my hands down favorite deck to use. It is beautiful, one of my favorite colors, and handles very well.

This series though does not focus on any aspect of using playing cards, or any kind of slight of hand. This is all just some fun with a deck and a flash, and a nice fast shutter speed. Each photo is of the cards themselves falling down, either being dropped from out of frame above the lens, or sprung towards the camera off my hand, using one of a few methods. So in a way I guess some of them have a bit of card handling in them.

Each does not need its own explanation, and other than setting up this series, I will let each photo say to you whatever it will. We will commence normal photography this coming Saturday… Well, at least until next week when I put up the last of my playing card work. For now anyways
