This photo was not like my other playing card photos which were set up to be a photo, this one just kinda happened. One of the things I have practiced over the years is throwing playing cards. One of my favorite decks to practice with are plastic card decks. They last far longer and can hurt so much more
Well I had been outside seeing exactly how far I could throw, and lost quite a few cards out of this particular deck. I rounded up what I could, but most were now long gone. A few months later I was outside taking photos and what is lying on the ground? Yup, this little guy right here. It was interesting to see the discoloration on the card (and the fact that it was still around here) as well as it still having held its shape through the summer.
The photo was shot with my extremely crappy zoom lens, but still came out nicely. It was direct sunlight about midday, and as for the editing, I went simple. The color are a bit muddled, but still close to how it came off the camera. I am getting back out of adding artificial vignette to everything, which is a good thing, but this one thankfully had a bit of a natural one to help stay my hand
